Iowa State vs Iowa Picks and Prediction – 9/7/2024

The Iowa State Cyclones take a short road trip this week to Iowa City for a matchup with the Iowa Hawkeyes. Iowa State comes into week two undefeated following an 18 point victory over UND in week one. Cade McNamara carried the offensive load for Iowa completing 21 passes for 251 yards and three scores and ran the ball once for 12 yards. Kaleb Johnson led Iowa with 119 yards and two scores on 11 carries. Reece Vander Zee had  a team high of 66 yards and two scores on five receptions.

Both team bring an undefeated record into week 2 for a matchup against their biggest rival. Iowa has one of the best defenses in the nation and that will carry them in week 2.
