The Iowa team is coming to this game after getting a 26-20 win in their last game on the field. The win was over the Nebraska Cornhuskers who have struggled on the year so far. However, one thing that the win did was allowed the Hawkeyes to move up to a 4-2 record in the conference this year.

The offense for Iowa has managed to get a total of 31.8 points a game. The passing offense has been able to get 192 yards a game in the air and 173 yards a game on the ground. The defense for Iowa has given up 16.7 points a game, but have allowed 214 yards per game in the air and 109 yards per game on the ground.

Illinois for their part is coming into this game sitting on a 2-3 record. The last game for the Fighting Illini was cancelled due to coronavirus outbreak on the Ohio State coaching staff. However, the game before the cancelled game the Fighting Illini ended up getting a 41-23 win over the Cornhuskers.

This year the Illini offense has been able to put in a total of 21.8 points a game. The offense has not been good at passing the ball with 159 yards a game in the air and 222 yards a game on the ground. The defense for Illinois has allowed 32 points a game to be scored against them. The defense for Illinois has given up 254 yards a game in the air and the defense has given up 195 yards a game on the ground so far this year.

The Fighting Illini have struggled against Iowa lately winning only once in the last 10 meetings. There is no reason to see that change in this game as the Illinois offense is good, but not good enough to overcome a fairly decent Iowa defense. The Hawkeyes offense will have a good game here with the passing game able to step up better in the game to get the win locked down and the defense to keep the Illini from doing much else. Final Score Prediction, Iowa Hawkeyes win and cover ATS 34-17.
