Newly constructed Snapdragon Stadium will play host to a Saturday afternoon college football battle between the Idaho State Bengals and the San Diego State Aztecs. The FCS Bengals managed just one win last season and opened this season with a 52-21 road loss against UNLV. Idaho State was torched for 45 first-half points and surrendered 554 total yards for the game.

Idaho State got on the scoreboard in the first quarter with a 55-yard touchdown pass from Tyler Vander Wall to Jalen Johsnon. Hunter Hays threw for a touchdown and ran for another score in a losing effort for the Bengals.

The San Diego State Aztecs are coming off a 12-win season and finished 14th nationally in total defense. On Saturday, San Diego State trailed by 14 points at halftime and was unable to recover during a 38-20 home loss versus Arizona. The Aztecs (0-1) were outgained by a 461-232 margin and gave up four touchdown passes.

Virginia Tech transfer QB Braxton Burmeister threw a touchdown and finished the day with an ugly 17.1 QBR. The Aztecs had eight different players carry the ball for a combined 170 yards on 42 attempts.
