The Hawaii Rainbow Warriors will travel to San Diego, CA this week for a matchup with the San Diego State Aztecs. Hawaii comes into this week with only one win through their first five games played following a 19 point loss to New Mexico State a few weeks ago. Defensively Hawaii was obliterated as New Mexico State totaled 438 yards as 357 came on the ground to score 45 total points in the game.

The Hawaii offense moved the ball well chewing up more than 400 yards but converted on only four third downs leading to the loss. Brayden Schager orchestrated the Hawaii offense completing 22 of 39 passes for 269 yards and one touchdown. Caleb Phillips was the top target for Hawaii accumulating 138 yards on 8 catches in the game.

San Diego State Aztecs return home this week one game under .500 following a 22 point loss to Boise State. Defensively San Diego State was obliterated as Boise State scored 35 points on 450 total yards of offense. The San Diego State offense didn't help the defense with only 114 yards to score 13 points including none in the second half of the game.

San Diego State used three different quarterbacks in the game combining to complete only two of 16 passes for 33 yards. Jordan Byrd led the way for San Diego State with 61 yards on 13 carries and Jesse Mathews led all receivers with 26 yards on one catch.
