On Saturday, the No. 5 ranked LSU Tigers play the No. 1 ranked Georgia Bulldogs in the SEC Championship game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia. LSU finished the regular season 9-3 overall and 6-2 in the SEC. The Tigers were first in the West division of the conference and were defeated by the Texas A&M Aggies 38-23 in the final game of the regular season on Saturday.

Georgia finished the season with the best defense in the nation against points allowed at 11.3 points per game and was 12th best in scoring with an average of 38.3 points per game.
