Georgia Tech and Pittsburgh meet in an ACC contest this weekend and the good news is one team can win and erase their dismal experience from last weekend. The Yellow Jackets surrendered 419 rushing yards in a 49-38 loss to South Florida while Pittsburgh hooked up with old in-state rival Penn State and got smashed 51-6.

Time might be running out for Ga. Tech coach Paul Johnson. His running attack is boring to most fans and now that the defense looks so porous he better turn the ship around quickly or the hounds will be on his trail. The Yellow Jackets, who beat Alcorn State 41-0 in week one, are, as usual, extremely reliant on their quarterback. TaQuan Marshall is the man running the triple option this season and he's passed for 287 yards and two touchdowns while rushing for 190 yards and two touchdowns. Clinton Lynch is the leading receiver coming out of the backfield with three receptions for 111 yards and a touchdown. Pittsburgh quarterback Kenny Pickett has completed 63 percent of his pass attempts for 209 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions. He's also been sacked four times. He's rushed for 72 yards and a touchdown. Qadree Ollison leads the ground game with 192 yards on 28 carries while Rafael Araujo-Lopes has caught a pair of touchdown passes. Mistakes crushed Pittsburgh in the loss to Penn State. The Panthers committed 14 penalties for 116 yards and also coughed up the ball three times.

This Pittsburgh passing game was missing in ugly blowout home loss last week and that continues in loss this week. Georgia Tech offense scores in bunches even if Yellow Jackets don't pass often, the triple option is too much for PITT this week. Final Score Prediction, Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets win and cover ATS 31-23.
