The Bulldogs are happy to have Jake Fromm back this year for his Junior season. However, the team is also happy that the offensive line comes back relatively intact as well. The downside is the changes that are coming to the offense with the new coordinator will take some getting used to for Fromm. The good point, though, is he has quite a few new skill players to help him adjust.

Defensively the Bulldogs are a team that will need to have some time to get together as a team and start to pull some of the stops out in the game. The defense is not returning as many starters as the team would have liked, but overall, the unit still looks good and the players who are moving to the starting positions this year are almost all juniors or seniors, with quite a bit of on field leadership. The Commodores offensive talent is something that cannot be taken lightly. The team has a couple of players that could be up for All-American honors this season. However, the Commodores are also looking for a new quarterback to step up on the season as Deue Wallace has some experience as a junior, but was not a starter last year.

When it comes to the defense, the Commodores will hope that the skilled position players the Bulldogs put on the field have not really had a chance to practice a lot with Fromm. The Commodores defense barely cracked the top 100 last year, but lost a lot of the players that were on the field starting last year. What else does not help is the Commodores will field a couple of new cornerbacks who could get picked apart early on this year.
