Last Updated: 12/19/2021 at 6:23 PM ET

The Capital One Orange Bowl in Miami Gardens Florida will host game two of the College Football Playoff between the Georgia Bulldogs and the Michigan Wolverines on New Year's Eve. Georgia has dominated this season with twelve wins in 13 games following a 17 point SEC championship loss to Alabama. Offensively Georgia has been solid this year averaging 39.4 points per game on 442.8 yards, but it's been the defense leading the way for the Bulldogs as opponents average 253.9 yards to score only 9.5 points per game.

Georgia has used four different quarterbacks this season, but Stetson Bennett has been the go-to man for Georgia completing 148 of 231 passes for 2325 yards and 24 scores. Zamir White leads a potent rushing attack with 718 yards and 10 scores on 135 carries, while James Cook is second on the team with 619 yards and seven scores.

The Michigan Wolverines are one of the hottest teams in the nation coming into the playoff riding a five game win streak including a 42-3 blowout win against Iowa to win the Big 10 Championship. Defensively Michigan dominated Iowa holding the Hawkeyes to only 279 yards of offense and three points after shutting Iowa out in 3 quarters.

Offensively Michigan played one of their best games of the season in the Big 10 Championship totaling 461 yards and 42 points leading to the blowout. Cade McNamara led the way for Michigan completing 16 of 24 passes for 169 yards and one score. As a team Michigan compiled 211 rushing yards and four touchdowns on 34 carries. Blake Corrum and Hassan Haskins combined to carry the Michigan ground game with 130 yards and three scores on 22 carries combined.

Both teams come into this game playing well and will look to continue that trend for a bid into the national championship. Despite both teams having good defenses, the offenses will be on full display in the College Football Playoff. Look for both teams to get their offense rolling early leading to points in bunches for the full 60 minutes on New Year's Eve. With both teams scoring nearly 40 points per game this game will go over the low total in the Capital One Orange Bowl. Final Score Prediction, Georgia wins but the play is the over 35-31.
