The Florida State Seminoles visit BB&T Field in Winston-Salem, North Carolina on Saturday for an ACC showdown with the No. 19 ranked Wake Forest Demon Deacons. Florida State fell to 3-3 on the season after getting a pounding from Clemson 45-14. Both FSU quarterbacks threw four interceptions in the first half and James Blackman threw his second interception in the second half that was returned for a TD by Clemson.
Wake Forest fell from the unbeaten ranks on Saturday after losing to Louisville 62-59 in a shootout. The loss dropped Wake to 5-1 on the season. Wake trailed 52-31 with less than half of the fourth quarter remaining but the Demon Deacons rallied with 28 points to just 10 for Louisville with Sam Hartman throwing a pair of touchdown passes just 35 seconds apart, but in the end it was not enough.
James Blackman has thrown for 1,036 yards and nine touchdowns and four interceptions to lead Florida State. The leading rusher for the Seminoles is Cam Akers with 616 yards and seven touchdowns, while Tamorrion Terry leads all receivers with 467 yards and five touchdowns. Hamsah Nasirideen leads the Seminoles in tackles with 39.
James Newman has thrown for 1,772 yards, 17 touchdowns and five interceptions to lead the Demon Deacons. Kenneth Walker III leads all Wake rushers with 328 yards and three touchdowns. The leading receiver for Wake Forest is Sage Surratt with 711 yards and nine touchdowns. Justin Strnad leads Wake Forest in tackles with 62.
