Fresno State head into their 2nd game of the season after a 45-0 rout in week 0 against the Uconn Huskies. The Bulldogs defense was stout throughout keep the 0 on the board after stifling the Huskies for 60 minutes. Arron Mosby helped the Fresno State defense outscore the Huskies recovering a fumble and returning it for 6.
Jake Haener was able to get everything he wanted against Uconn throwing for 331 yards and 3 touchdowns, while completing 76.9% of the passes thrown. Backup Logan Fife got some burn as well completing 7 passes for just over 50 yards and a touchdown as well.
The Oregon Ducks come into this year looking to redeem themselves after a 4-3 2020 season. Oregon has a 3 man battle at the QB between a returning Anthony Brown,Jay Butterfield, and youngster Ty Thompson with Brown expected to get the early season start. The Ducks will have a host of weapons around whoever becomes QB with Devon Williams leading the charge.
Oregon allowed 28 points on just over 400 yards per game last season. The group of linebackers will lead this defense as the core of the Ducks 3-4. The Ducks secondary is expected to be much better in 2021 led by Mykael Wright as the teams defensive leader.
