The Florida State Seminoles visit Scott Stadium in Charlottesville, Virginia on Saturday to play the No. 25 ranked Virginia Cavaliers. Florida State bounced back from an opening game loss with a 45-44 win in overtime against Louisiana Monroe. Cam Akers scored on a 4-year touchdown run in overtime to give the Seminoles the lead. The Seminoles won when ULM missed its extra point after scoring a touchdown in OT and attempting to tie.

Virginia improved to 2-0 on the season following its 52-17 rout of William & Mary. The Cavaliers were paced by Bryce Perkins who threw a pair of touchdown passes and rushed for another in the Cavaliers lopsided win. Joe Reed caught a touchdown pass of 40 yards and had a 100-yard kickoff return for a touchdown.

James Blackman has thrown for 609 yards, six touchdowns and two interceptions for FSU. The leading rusher for the Seminoles is Cam Akers with 51 carries for 309 yards and three touchdowns. Tamorrion Terry leads all FSU receivers with 10 receptions for 156 yards and one touchdown. Akers has caught seven passes for 67 yards and one touchdown.

Bryce Perkins leads Virginia with 373 yards passing, four touchdowns and two interceptions and has rushed for a team-leading 112 yards and one touchdown. Mike Hollins has 11 carries for 78 yards and two touchdowns. Hasise Dubois has seven receptions for 95 yards and one touchdown for the Cavaliers.

Florida State has played poorly to start the season losing its opening game of the season and needing overtime to defeat a less-talented Louisiana Monroe squad.
