Florida State vs Clemson Picks and Prediction – 9/23/2023

The Florida State Seminoles continue an ACC road trip in week four with a game in Clemson, SC against the Clemson Tigers. Defensively the Seminoles have been mediocre allowing 391.3 yards and 22 points per game through three weeks.

Defensively Florida State had a ton of issues against Boston College giving up 29 points including thirteen in the fourth quarter on 457 total yards of offense. Offensively the Seminoles did just enough scoring 31 points on 340 yards including 212 through the air. The ground game came through for the Seminoles after compiling 128 yards on 34 total carries as a team.

The Clemson Tigers stay at home this week on a two game win streak after a 34 point blowout of Florida Atlantic on Saturday. Cade Klubnik has orchestrated the Clemson offense for the first three weeks completing 71 passes for 693 yards and two scores. Running back Will Shipley is leading the way on the ground for Clemson with 225 yards on 36 carries. Phil Mafah has been huge for the Tigers with 166 yards and three touchdowns on 25 touches this season.

Offensively Clemson dominated Florida Atlantic compiling 367 total yards of offense including 204 through the air resulting in 48 total points after a 34 point first half. The Clemson defense shined as well giving up just 14 points after none through the 1st 45 minutes on 293 total yards from the Owls. Cade Klubnik led the way for Clemson completing 16 passes for 169 yards and three scores.
