The Florida Gators visit Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia, South Carolina on Saturday for an SEC showdown with the South Carolina Gamecocks. The Gators were beaten on Saturday by the LSU Tigers 42-28 and fell to 6-1 on the season. Florida’s Kyle Trask threw for 310 yards and three touchdowns, but while trying to tie the score, Trask threw an interception in the LSU end zone during the fourth quarter.
South Carolina improved to 3-3 on the season with its 20-17 huge upset over the Georgia Bulldogs. The Gamecocks Parker White kicked a 23-yard field goal during the second overtime that held up when Georgia missed its 42-yard attempt. However, South Carolina lost starting quarterback Ryan Hilinski to a knee injury during the third quarter and his status is unknown.
Florida starting quarterback Kyle Trask has thrown for 1,191 yards, 10 touchdowns and three interceptions. Lamical Perine with 392 yards and four touchdowns leads all rushers for the Gators. Kyle Pitts leads Florida in receiving with 362 yards and three touchdowns. David Reese II leads the Gators in tackles with 53.
Ryan Hilinski is the leading passer for South Carolina with 1,028 yards, six touchdowns and three interceptions. Rico Dowdle leads the Gamecocks with 449 yards rushing and four touchdowns. Bryan Edwards leads South Carolina in receiving with 426 yards and four touchdowns. Ernest Jones leads the Gamecocks in tackles with 50.
