FIU at North Texas 11/5/22 - College Football Picks & Predictions

The Florida International Panthers travel to Denton,TX this week to take on the North Texas Mean Green. Florida International comes into this week 4-4 on the year riding a 2 game win streak following an 8 point overtime win against Louisiana Tech. Defensively Florida International struggled a bit as Louisiana Tech scored 34 points on 440 total yards of offense but the Panthers held the Bulldogs to only seven points in overtime leading to the win.

Offensively Florida International played well with nearly 380 yards of offense after 321 came through the air to score 42 points in the game following a 21 point first half. Quarterback Grayson James orchestrated the Florida International offense completing 31 passes for 321 yards and three scores in the game. Lexington Joseph led all ball carriers for the Panthers with 37 yards and two scores on 12 carries, while Rivaldo Fairweather posted a team high 89 yards on six receptions. Tyrese chambers added 81 yards and one score on seven grabs as well.

The North Texas Mean Green go back home this week, one game above .500 following a 27 point win over Western Kentucky on Saturday. Defensively North Texas dominated holding Western Kentucky to only 13 points and nothing in the second half after forcing 2 turnovers in the game. Offensively North Texas controlled the game compiling nearly 550 yards and 40 points following twenty points in each half.

Austin Aune completed 20 passes for 333 yards and three scores to lead the North Texas offense. Ayo Adeyi chewed up 72 yards and one touchdown on 10 carries and Ikaika Ragsdale added 61 yards and one touchdown as well. Damon Ward Jr. led the way through the air with 101 yards and one score on four receptions.
