Eastern Michigan at Arizona State 9/17/22 - College Football Picks & Predictions

Sun Devil Stadium will be the scene for a Saturday night college football clash between the Eastern Michigan Eagles and the Arizona State Sun Devils. The Eagles (1-1) have a potent offense and figure to be one of the better teams in the MAC Conference. On Saturday, Eastern Michigan was outscored by 28 points during the fourth quarter of a 49-21 road loss against Louisiana. 

Eastern Michigan QB Taylor Powell completed 32 of 51 passes for 320 yards and three interceptions. Powell’s only touchdown pass was a 24-yard strike to Tanner Knue that gave the Eagles a 14-0 second quarter lead.

The Arizona State Sun Devils have been clouded by an ongoing NCAA investigation and had tremendous turnover in the transfer portal. Last week, Arizona State trailed by 14 points at halftime during a 34-17 road loss against 11th ranked Oklahoma State. The Sun Devils (1-1) surrendered 465 yards of total offense and 30 first downs in defeat.

Wyoming transfer RB Xazavian Valladay led the offense with 118 yards and a touchdown on 21 carries. Florida transfer QB Emory Jones added 223 passing yards and a score for the Sun Devils.
