East Carolina at Virginia Tech 9/15/18 - College Football Picks & Predictions

East Carolina bounced back from a week 1 loss to bring home a win over in state rival North Carolina. However, the win was one that seen the Pirates really dominate and control the Tar Heels as they managed to put in 41 points and the defense kept the Tar Heels to 19 points in the game.

Offensively the Pirates have a great passing game that has managed to rack up 302 yards a game. The rushing attack for the Pirates has only managed to get a total of 144 yards a game on the ground. With the scoring the East Carolina team has managed to get 32 points a game, but the defense is giving up 23.5 points a game. Virginia Tech is ranked 13th in the nation and if history proves the rankings have not really mattered much as a lot of the ranked teams have been upset by teams they should easily beat. A great example of that is the Michigan State team this past weekend. In this game, though, the Hokies have rolled to 2 straight victories, one of them was knocking off then 19th ranked Florida State and this past week by knocking down W&M by a score of 62-17.

With the Hokies the team has managed to pass for a total of 244 yards per game, but are rushing for a total of 208.5 yards a game. The offense for the Hokies has put in a total of 43 points a game, but the defense has been a major strength as the Hokies are giving up 10 points a game.
