East Carolina at Temple 11/26/22 - College Football Picks & Predictions

The East Carolina Pirates will be in Philadelphia, PA this week for a matchup with the Temple Owls. East Carolina comes into this week with six wins through 11 games played riding a two game losing streak after a 39 point blowout loss against Houston. Offensively East Carolina moved the ball well compiling 315 total yards but converted only three third downs and went 0-4 on 4th down to score just three points in the game. Defensively East Carolina had one of their worst games of the season as Houston scored 42 points including 21 points in both halves on 515 total yards of offense.

Holton Ahlers took most of the snaps under center for East Carolina completing 15 of 30 passes for 182 yards in the game. Keaton Mitchell was the only spark in the East Carolina offense with 128 yards on 14 carries and Jsi Hatfield led the way with 68 yards on two receptions. CJ Johnson posted three receptions for 48 yards as well.

Temple will again be at home this week with only three wins through 11 games played after losing four of the last five including two in a row after a 20 point loss to Cincinnati. Defensively Temple struggled Immensely as Cincinnati totaled nearly 400 yards to score 23 points after 17 came in the first half. Offensively Temple had no answer for Cincinnati scoring only three points in the game on 202 total yards.

EJ Warner led the way for the temple offense completing 21 of 36 passes for 167 yards in the game. Darvon Hubbard was the top ball carrier in the Temple offense with seven carries for 30 yards, while Jordan Smith posted a team high 40 yards on five receptions. Jose Barbon added 31 yards on five receptions as well.
