The Duke Blue Devils visit BB&T Field in Winston-Salem, North Carolina on Saturday for an ACC showdown with the Wake Forest Demon Deacons. The Blue Devils fell to 4-6 on the season after being routed by the Syracuse Orange 49-6. The only scoring for Duke was a pair of AJ Reed field goals of 31 and 51 yards. The loss was Duke’s fourth straight.

Wake Forest fell to 7-3 following its 52-3 loss to Clemson on Saturday. Wake lost two straight for the first time this season. Entering the game, Wake Forest averaged 487 yards per game this season but gained just 105 on Saturday. Wake gained 54 yards in the first quarter and just 51 over the final three quarters.

James Newman has thrown for 2,338 yards, 22 touchdowns and nine interceptions to lead the Demon Deacons. Cade Carney leads all Wake rushers with 431 yards and three touchdowns. The leading receiver for Wake Forest is Sage Surratt with 1,001 yards and 11 touchdowns. Justin Strnad leads Wake Forest in tackles with 69.

Although Clemson routed Wake, the Demon Deacons are far superior to Duke this season and will bounce back in a big way at home on Saturday. Wake has covered the number in 4 of its last 5 at home.
