The Duke Blue Devils are set to visit Bobby Dodd Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia for an ACC clash against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. The Duke Blue Devils come into this matchup with a 2-6 record, and they will be looking to rebound after dropping their recent home game against the UNC Tar Heels, 56-24. QB Chase Brice struggled to get much offense generated through the air for Duke as he only connected on 11 of his 23 pass attempts for 155 yards and 1 interception. RB Mataeo Durant had a productive game on the ground for the Blue Devils as he ran for 132 yards and 1 TD on 11 carries.

The Duke Blue Devils struggled on the defensive side of the ball against the UNC Tar Heels as they allowed them to score 56 points and rack up a total of 573 yards of offense. Safety Marquis Waters led the way for the Duke defense with 10 tackles and 1 TFL. The secondary had a productive game for the Blue Devils as safety Michael Carter II had an interception while DB J’Marick Woods had 6 tackles.

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets come into this matchup with a 2-5 record, and they will be looking to rebound after dropping their recent home game against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, 31-13. QB Jeff Sims struggled to get much offense generated through the air for Georgia Tech as he threw for 150 yards while only gaining 2 rushing yards. RB Jahmir Gibbs had a productive game for the Yellow Jackets as he ran for 61 yards on 14 carries while adding 5 catches for 49 yards.

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets struggled on the defensive side of the ball against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish as they allowed them to score 31 points and rack up a total of 426 yards of offense. LB Quez Jackson led the way for the Georgia Tech defense with 11 tackles and 1 TFL. The Yellow Jackets were able to get into the Notre Dame backfield a handful of times as DL Djimon Brooks had 2 TFLs and 1 sack while DB Kaleb Oliver had 1 TFL and 1 sack.

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets are still trying to rebuild their program and they are slowly getting better, and that could be accredited to the young talent they have. The Yellow Jackets went with the freshmen QB Jeff Sims who has had consistency problems (8 TDs to 10 interceptions), but he has shown the ability to extend plays with his legs. Georgia Tech also has one of the best young RBs in the conference with Jahmir Gibbs as the freshman is the leading rusher and also the team leader in receptions and TDs. Duke hasn’t received the season they expect to have from Clemson transfer QB Chase Brice as he has thrown 12 interceptions, but they have a pair of 500-yard rushers which has been the bright spot from the offense. I expect the Georgia Tech defense to sell out on the run and force Brice to beat the secondary, but Zamari Walton has 2 interceptions while Wesley Walker has 3 pass breakups, and I think they will be up for the challenge. Final Score Prediction, Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets win and cover ATS 32-24.
