The wheels have come off in a major way for Colorado, so much so they fired their coach after last weekend's game. The Buffaloes will have a new coach when they play at Cal this weekend to close the regular season. Colorado has lost six in a row after a 5-0 start, but often teams win games immediately after a coach was fired. Only one of those six losses was by a touchdown or less.

Cal is 6-4 and had its game last weekend canceled because of fires. Cal upset then No. 15 Washington, and came within a hair of knocking off Washington State in consecutive weeks. Cal has now won three of the last four and is coming off a one-point win at USC.

Nebraska leads the all time series 49-19-2. Colorado won last year's game to renew the rivalry that had not been played since.
Chase Garbers leads California with 1100 yards passing, 11 touchdowns and five interceptions. Cal has 13 TD passes and 13 interceptions as a team. Patrick Laird leads the running game with 771 yards and five touchdowns. Brandon McIlwain has 401 yards rushing, and he sees time at quarterback as well, throwing for 763 yards.

Colorado is led by Steven Montez, with 2679 yards passing, 17 touchdowns and six interceptions. Trayvon McMillan has 951 yards rushing and seven touchdowns. Montez, who is the team's second leading rusher, has 188 yards rushing. Laviska Shenault Jr. has 946 yards receiving with six touchdowns.

This Buffaloes team fired Coach McIntyre this past week but still think Colorado plays well enough this week to cover this double digit spread. Colorado has shown good glimpses the past few weeks and think Buffaloes play just good enough to cover this big spread. Final Score Prediction, CAL Golden Bears win but fall short ATS 27-20.
