Colgate at Stanford 9/3/22 - College Football Picks & Predictions

The Raiders are coming here with a lot of hope for the season. The Colgate squad plays in the FCS and should be a good team to play, but the Colgate team is one that has had their fair share of struggles as well.

The Colgate squad is being led by Stan Dakosty as the head coach. The offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach is Brent Bassham. The defensive coordinator is Jordan Belfiori.

Stanford is coming here with the potential to get a big win to open the year. Last year the Cardinal finished the season with a shake record at 3-9. The Cardinal did get a big early season win last year over USC and Oregon.

The Cardinal are bringing back 10 starters on the offensive side of the ball. Tanner McKee was the leading quarterback for Stanford last year and he went 206/315 for 2,327 yards with 15 touchdowns and only 7 picks. The running back is slated to be E.J. Smith to start and last year Smith carried the ball only 26 times for 133 yards and a score.

The Cardinal are going to have their hands full in this game. The key thing for the Cardinal is to avoid being upset at home against an FCS school. Look for that to be problematic for the Cardinal in this game as the Stanford team ends up losing against the Raiders in this game. Final Score, Colgate Raiders win 24-17.
