Last Updated: 09/23/2022 at 8:22 PM ET

The Saturday college football schedule will kickoff with an ACC Conference showdown between the Clemson Tigers and the Wake Forest Demon Deacons. The fifth-ranked Tigers (3-0) are still figuring things out offensively and lean on a defense that allows 14 points per game. On Saturday, Clemson outscored Louisiana Tech by 21 points during the third quarter to pull away for a 48-20 home victory.

Clemson RB Will Shipley needed just 12 carries to rush for 139 yards and score twice. D.J. Uiagalelei completed 17 of 29 passes for 221 yards and two touchdowns.

The Wake Forest Demon Deacons are averaging over 300 yards through the air and 42 points through their first three games. Last week, Wake Forest stopped a two-point conversion with just over a minute remaining to secure a 37-36 home victory versus Liberty. The Demon Deacons (3-0) were outgained by a 428-346 margin and forced four turnovers on the day.

Wake Forest junior QB Sam Hartman threw for 325 yards to go along with three touchdowns and two interceptions. Ke’Shawn Williams contributed 129 receiving yards on five catches for the Demon Deacons.

Clemson has dominated Wake Forest by winning 13 straight contests, including the last two by 21 and 24 points. The Tigers have failed to impress this season, due to their inconsistent quarterback play. Take Wake Forest to pull off the upset at home. Final Score Prediction, Wake Forest Demon Deacons win 28-27.
