The defending National Champion Clemson Tigers will be on upset alert when they travel to the Carrier Dome to take on the Syracuse Orange. The top ranked Tigers are off to an undefeated start and have allowed just 24 points. On Saturday, Trevor Lawrence threw for a touchdown and ran for another during a 24-10 home victory versus Texas A&M. Justyn Ross caught seven passes for 94 yards and a touchdown.

Clemson will want to get their running game back on track after averaging just 3.7 yards per carry. The Tigers will lean heavily on a defense that limited the Aggies to 53 rushing yards on 27 attempts.

The Syracuse Orange were a trendy pick to make some noise in the ACC Conference under the leadership of fourth year head coach Dino Babers. Last weekend, Babers said that the Orange had their taste of “humble pie” during a 63-20 road loss against Maryland. Syracuse surrendered 42 points in the first half and was gashed for 650 yards of total offense.

Sophomore QB Tommy DeVito completed 28 of 39 passes for 330 yards and three touchdowns. Trishton Jackson hauled in seven receptions for 157 yards and two scores in a losing effort for the Orange.
