Clemson at Syracuse 10/15/21 - College Football Picks & Predictions

ACC Conference foes will clash on Friday night, when the Clemson Tigers invade the Carrier Dome to take on the Syracuse Orange. The Tigers (3-2) are unranked for the first time since 2014 and are scoring just 21.2 points per game. Last time out, Clemson forced three turnovers during a 19-13 home victory versus Boston College. 

Kobe Pace started the scoring for Clemson with a 59-yard touchdown run in the first quarter. B.T. Potter booted four field goals for the Tigers, who gained 438 yards of total offense. 

The Syracuse Orange have put last season’s 1-10 record in the rearview mirror and are much improved for head coach Dino Babers. On Saturday, Syracuse took 19th ranked Wake Forest to overtime before falling by a 40-37 final score. The Orange (3-3) outgained the Demon Deacons by a 514-426 margin and fell to 0-2 in conference play.

Syracuse QB Garrett Shrader hit Sean Tucker for a 28-yard touchdown pass with 21 seconds remaining to force overtime. Shrader added 178 yards on the ground and scored on a 5-yard first half run.

Syracuse pulled off the upset of Clemson at home in 2017. Last season, the Tigers cruised to a 47-21 home victory. The Orange are greatly improved on the defensive side of the ball. Take the under. Final Score Prediction, Clemson Tigers win 26-13.
