After narrowly falling at Oklahoma State in their season opener, Tulsa bounced back with an impressive 34-26 road victory over UCF. The Golden Hurricane forced three turnovers and were outgained by a 455-438 margin.

Senior QB Zach Smith completed 17 of his 29 passes for 273 yards and three touchdowns. T.K. Wilkerson handled 22 carries for 86 yards and a score for the Golden Hurricane.
