The Central Michigan Chippewas are set to visit Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida for a Week 4 clash against the Miami Hurricanes. The Central Michigan Chippewas come into this matchup with a 2-1 record, and they will be looking to continue their success after winning their recent home game against the Akron Zips, 45-24. QB David Moore had a big game for the Central Michigan Chippewas as he connected on 20 of his 31 pass attempts for a total of 316 yards and 2 TDs. The ground attack was also very strong for the Central Michigan offense as RB Kobe Lewis ran for 146 yards and 3 TDs.

The Central Michigan Chippewas need to be better on the defensive side of the ball moving forward as they allowed the Akron Zips to score 24 points and rack up a total of 324 yards on offense. LB Troy Brown led the way for the Central Michigan defense as the sophomore racked up 12 tackles and 3 TFL. Senior DL Sean Adesanya was a problem for the Akron Zips as he contributed 4.5 TFL, 2 sacks, and an interception.

The Miami Hurricanes come into this matchup with a 1-2 record, and they will be looking to continue their success after winning their recent home game against Bethune-Cookman, 63-0. QB Jarren Williams had a big game through the air for the Hurricanes as he connected on 19 of his 24 pass attempts for 254 yards and 3 TD. RB DeeJay Dallas had a big game on the ground for the Miami Hurricanes as he ran for 108 yards and 3 TDs.

The Miami Hurricanes were very good on the defensive side of the ball against Bethune-Cookman as they held their FCS opponent scoreless and to a total of 137 yards of offense. Freshman LB Sam Brooks Jr. led the way for the Miami Hurricanes as he racked up 5 tackles and 1 TFL. Senior DL Scott Patchman was able to get into the Bethune-Cookman backfield a handful of times as he contributed 1.5 TFL and a sack.

The Miami Hurricanes are clearly the more talented team and have home field advantage, but this number is way too big against a Central Michigan team who showed promise on offense last week. The Miami Hurricanes are still very questionable on the offensive line, and Central Michigan was able to get into the Akron backfield a ton last week which means they have the talent and the scheme. The Chippewas have the ability to run the ball as well as throw it, and while the Miami Hurricanes have a very good defense, I don’t think they will cover this spread. Final Score Prediction, Miami Hurricanes win but fail to cover ATS 38-21.
