Campbell at Coastal Carolina 9/18/20 - College Football Picks & Predictions

The week three college football season will kickoff with a Friday night matchup between the Campbell Fighting Camels and the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers from Brooks Stadium. On Saturday, FCS Campbell raced out to a ten-point lead after one quarter, before falling at Georgia Southern by a 27-26 final score. The Fighting Camels gained 380 yards of total offense, but committed 12 costly penalties for 138 yards.

Sophomore QB Hajj-Malik Williams completed 17 of 27 passes for 237 yards and two touchdowns. Williams added 73 yards rushing and another score on the ground for the Fighting Camels.

The Coastal Carolina Chanticleers finished with a 2-6 record in the Sun Belt Conference in 2019 and appear to have what it takes to make significant strides this season. On Saturday, Coastal Carolina built a 25-point halftime lead and held on for a 38-23 road triumph against Kansas. The Chanticleers rushed for 185 yards and forced three turnovers on the night.

Freshman QB Grayson McCall completed 11 of his 18 passing attempts for 133 yards and three touchdowns. CJ Marable contributed 75 yards rushing on 21 carries for the Chanticleers.
