The California Golden Bears are off to a 3-0 start that includes a win at then No. 14 Washington. The Bears won't be intimidated by being the visitor when they travel to Oxford to play Ole Miss Saturday. This is the third consecutive season Cal has started 3-0, and they lost the fourth game in each of the last two years. This time however the Bears are ranked as the No. 23 team. Cal beat Ole Miss in California in a close game in 2017, their only previous meeting.

Ole Miss is 2-1 after having stumbled in its opener at Memphis. The Rebels were not dominant in a win at home against Southeast Louisiana last weekend.

Cal has relied more on its running game, averaging 191 yards per game, and Ole Miss has been stout against the run, allowing just over 100 per game. Ole Miss has given up an average of 260 yards passing.

Cal is led by Christopher Brown Jr., with 324 yards and two touchdowns, sporting a five yards per carry average. However, 197 of that came in the season opener. He has 43 yards last week on 13 carries. Chase Garbers has passed for 478 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception. Kekoa Crawford has 146 yards receiving and two touchdowns.

Matt Coral has passed for 578 yards, four touchdowns and one interception for Ole Miss. Scott Phillips has run for 308 yards and has four of the team's five rushing touchdowns. Elijah Moore has 278 yards receiving and three touchdowns.

The Golden Bears are unbeaten on the season and have taken down a ranked team. The Rebels for their part struggled in the opener of the season and have rebounded nicely, but the Golden Bears have been challenged and did not break like the Rebels did. Final Score Prediction, California Golden Bears win and cover ATS 21-17.
