On Thursday, the Buffalo Bulls visit Dix Stadium in Kent, Ohio to play a Mid-American Conference showdown against the Kent State Flashes. Buffalo had a bye this week and the week prior to the bye improved to 5-4 with a 43-14 victory over Eastern Michigan. Kyle Vantrease rushed for a pair of touchdowns and threw for one during a 27-point second quarter for the Bulls.

Kent State fell to 3-6 overall following its 35-33 loss to Toledo on Tuesday. Kent State quarterback Dustin Crum threw for 257 yards with three touchdowns in the loss. However, the Golden Flashes defense could not stop the Toledo Rockets offense. Kent State gave up 175 yards on the ground to Shakif Seymour and was playing catch up the entire game.

Kyle Vantrease leads Buffalo with 679 yards passing, five touchdowns and one interception. Jaret Patterson is the leading rusher with 995 yards and seven touchdowns, while Antonio Nunn leads all receivers with 457 yards and five touchdowns. Tyrone Hill leads the Bulls in tackles with 60.

Dustin Crum leads Kent State in passing with 1,602 yards and 13 touchdowns and one interception. Crum is the leading rusher with 414 yards and two touchdowns. Isaiah McKoy leads all receivers with 525 yards and four touchdowns. Qwuantrezz Knight leads the Golden Flashes in tackles with 63.

Buffalo will take advantage of the weak Kent State defense against the rush and run Jaret Patterson early and often and eventually open passing routes for Kyle Vantrease to pick apart the Golden Flashes secondary. Buffalo has covered the number in each of its last 4, while Kent State has failed to cover 4 of its last 5 following a win ATS. Final Score Prediction, Buffalo Bulls win and cover ATS 30-20.
