Buffalo scored on its first possession in overtime but kicker Jackson Baltar missed the extra point. Ohio scored on its possession in overtime and Louis Zervos booted the extra point to beat the Bulls. Kevin Marks rushed for 112 yards in the loss.
Akron fell to 0-6 following its 26-3 loss to Kent State on Saturday in the Crystal Clinic Wagon Wheel game. Akron gained just 297 yards on offense, while allowing 382. The Zips gained just 95 yards on the ground; were stopped twice trying to convert on fourth down; fumbled; and punted three times. Akron quarterback Kato Nelson threw for 202 yards in the loss.
