The Boston College Eagles visit David A. Harrison III Field in Charlottesville, Virginia to play the Virginia Cavaliers in an Atlantic Coast Conference clash. Boston College improved to 6-4 following its 34-27 victory at home over the Louisville Cardinals on Saturday. Backup quarterback Dennis Grosel threw a pair of touchdown passes after taking over for an injured Phil Jurkovec. David Bailey rushed for two touchdowns before leaving after suffering a hip injury. 

Phil Jurkovec has passed for 2,762 yards with 17 touchdowns, five interceptions and has been sacked 24 times. The leading rusher for Boston College is David Bailey with 556 yards and nine touchdowns and the leading receiver is Zay Flowers with 799 yards and seven touchdown receptions. On defense, linebacker Isaiah McDuffie is the leading tackler with 103 and defensive end Maximilian Roberts is the leader in quarterback sacks with 4.5. 

Virginia is 4-4 and was scheduled to play on Saturday against Florida State but that was postponed due to covid19 positive results at FSU. The Cavaliers defeated the Abilene Christian Wildcats 55-15 in their most recent outing prior to their scheduled encounter with FSU being postponed. In the victory over the Wildcats, Virginia gained 518 yards of total offense and held Abilene Christian to just 340 yards of total offense. Quarterback Brennan Armstrong passed for 383 yards and four touchdowns.

Brennan Armstrong has passed for 1,571 yards with 15 touchdowns, eight interceptions and has been sacked 13 times. Armstrong is also the leading rusher for Virginia with 399 yards and four touchdowns and the leading receiver is Billy Kemp IV with 517 yards and one touchdown reception. On defense, linebacker Nick Jackson is the leader in tackles with 85 and linebacker Charles Snowden is the leader in quarterback sacks with six.

Boston College has several starters that were injured in Saturday's victory over Louisville including quarterback Paul Jurkovec and running back David Bailey. Virginia will have had two weeks off to prepare for this meeting against Boston College as they were scheduled to play Florida State but that was cancelled. Virginia has covered the number in four of its last five and on its home field will defeat a shorthanded Boston College on Saturday.
