In Thursday night college football action, the Boise State Broncos will travel to University Stadium to take on the New Mexico Lobos. The Broncos (0-1) won seven games in 2021 and have lost some of the magic from seasons past. On Saturday night, Boise State committed five turnovers and was shutout during the first half of a 34-17 road loss against Oregon State.

Boise State QB Hank Bachmeier threw two interceptions in the first half and was benched. Freshman QB Taylen Green came off the bench to rush for 102 yards and two scores.

The New Mexico Lobos lost seven of their eight Mountain West Conference games and ranked last nationally in total offense last season. On Saturday, New Mexico stepped down in competition to earn a 41-0 home victory versus FCS Maine. The Lobos (1-0) outgained the Black Bears by a 437-118 margin and possessed the ball for more than 38 minutes.

New Mexico QB Miles Kendrick completed 14 of 17 passes for 170 yards to go along with two touchdowns and two interceptions. Sherod White contributed 58 yards rushing and two scores for the Lobos.

Boise State is riding a five-game winning streak against New Mexico by an average of 29 points. The Broncos will be looking to rebound after a lackluster season opener and will fix their quarterback issues against a weak Lobos’ squad. Take Boise State to cover.
