The Boston College Eagles visit HighPoint.com Stadium in Piscataway, New Jersey on Saturday to play the Rutgers Scarlet Knights. Boston College fell to 2-1 on the season after being upset at home by Kansas 48-24. Eagles’ running back A.J. Dillion rushed for 151 yards and quarterback Anthony Brown threw for 195 yards with one touchdown in the loss, but the defensive secondary was picked apart.

Rutgers had a bye in Week 3 and fell to 1-1 during Week 2 following its 30-0 loss to Iowa. The Scarlet Knights could not put together any offense as Rutgers gained just 125 yards, was forced to punt 10 times and committed three turnovers. The passing game amounted to 41 yards. The big question is who will quarterback the Scarlet Knights McLane Carter or Artur Sitkowski.

Anthony Brown leads the Eagles in passing with 633 yards and six touchdowns. AJ Dillon is the leading rusher with 67 carries for 318 yards and four touchdowns. Kobat White leads all receivers with seven receptions for 133 yards and one touchdown. Mike Palmer leads Boston College in tackles with 23.

McLane Carter has thrown for 368 yards, two touchdowns and four interceptions. Isiah Pacheco is the leading rusher with 29 carries for 192 yards and four touchdowns. The leading receiver for the Scarlet Knights is Bo Melton with seven receptions for 144 yards and one touchdown. Tyshon Fogg leads the defense in tackles with 18.

Both are coming off poor showings, but Rutgers has had an extra week to put is loss to Iowa behind it and fix its quarterback controversy. Boston College is coming of a poor defensive effort allowing 48 points on its home field to Kansas. Both teams will put the ball on the ground often and that will produce a low-scoring outcome, but the quarterback problems for Rutgers will continue. Final Score Prediction, Boston College Eagles win and cover ATS 35-24.
