On Saturday, the Baylor Bears visit Memorial Stadium in Norman, Oklahoma for a Big 12 battle with the No. 11 ranked Oklahoma Sooners. Baylor improved to 2-5 following its 32-31 victory over the Kansas State Wildcats on Saturday. The victory snapped a five-game losing streak for the Bears. John Mayers booted a 30-yard field goal on the game’s final play to give Baylor the one point victory. 

Quarterback Charlie Brewer has passed for 1,278 yards with 11 touchdowns, six interceptions and has been sacked 17 times. The leading rusher for Baylor is Craig Williams with 197 yards and two touchdowns and the leading receiver is RJ Sneed with 349 yards and two touchdowns. On defense, linebacker Terrel Bernard is the leading tackler with 55 and linebacker William Bradley-King and Bernard are the leaders in quarterback sacks with 3.5 each.

Oklahoma is 6-2 overall and 5-2 in the Big 12. The Sooners are in second place in the conference 1½ games behind the first-place Iowa State Cyclones. Oklahoma was scheduled to play West Virginia this weekend but that was postponed and the Sooners defeated Oklahoma State 41-13 on Saturday November 21 in their most recent outing. The Sooners have won five straight since losing two consecutive games early in the regular season.

Oklahoma quarterback Spencer Rattler has passed for 2,319 yards with 22 touchdowns, six interceptions and has been sacked 15 times. The leading rusher is TJ Pledger with 411 yards and five touchdowns and the leading receiver is Marvin Mims with 483 yards and seven touchdown receptions. On defense, linebacker Brian Asamoah is the leader in tackles with 48 and linebacker Nick Bonitto is the leader in quarterback sacks with 6.5.

Oklahoma had a slight setback early in the season with two consecutive losses but since the Sooners are 5-0 straight up and against the spread.
