Ball State nearly knocked off Notre Dame last week, losing by eight points. The Cardinals get another shot at a Big 10 team this week when they play at Indiana. The question is whether the close loss to a top-tier team will give Ball State confidence, or whether it will deflate the team. Indiana is one of the lower rated teams in the BIg 10 but is off to a 2-0 start after winning at home against Virginia last week.

Ball State is led by Riley Neal, who has 439 yards passing, three touchdowns and two interceptions. Neal also has a rushing touchdown.. James Gilbert leads the running game with 172 yards and one score. Caleb Huntley has 104 yards rushing. Riley Miller and Justin Hall have about 100 yards receiving each. Indiana got 204 yards rushing from freshman Stevie Scott in a win over Virginia. Scott has rushed for 274 yards and has the only rushing touchdown Indiana has scored this year. Peyton Ramsey has passed for 306 yards, five touchdowns, and two interceptions.

Both teams are averaging 29 points per game. Indiana is giving up 22 and Ball State is giving up 15.

Ball State has averaged a whopping 500 yards per game and is very balanced. The Cardinals are averaging 258 passing and 242 rushing. Ball State has held opponents to an average of 145 yards rushing.

Indiana is averaging 426. yards, 201 of that on the ground and 225 passing. Indiana is holding teams to 131 yards passing and 179 rushing.

Think this Indiana team falls short of cover for third straight week. Ball State covers against power house for 2nd straight week in much closer game than the line would suggest. Final Score Prediction, Indiana Hoosiers win but fall well short ATS 36-27.
