The most celebrated college football rivalry will take center stage on Saturday, when the Army Black Knights and the Navy Midshipmen square off from Lincoln Financial Field. The Black Knights won 11 games last season, but have followed that up with a disappointing 5-7 record this year. On Saturday, Army allowed Hawai’i to score the final 14 points of a 52-31 road loss. The Black Knights rushed for 411 yards on 63 carries, but committed two costly turnovers in defeat.

Christian Anderson paced the dominant Army rushing attack with 114 yards on 12 carries. Sandon McCoy added 15 rushes for 91 yards and two touchdowns for the Black Knights.

The Navy Midshipmen have won nine games and rank first in the nation in rushing at over 360 yards per contest. The 24th ranked Midshipmen have previously defeated Air Force and would win the Commander-in-Chief’s Trophy with a victory against Army. Last time out, Navy forced five turnovers and rushed for 447 yards during a 56-41 road victory against Houston.

Navy fullback Jamale Carothers rushed 18 times for 188 yards and found paydirt five times. Senior QB Malcolm Perry contributed 146 rushing yards and a score for the Midshipmen.

Navy dominated this series by winning 14 straight games starting in 2002, but Army has rallied to win the last three meetings. Last season, the Black Knights prevailed by a 17-10 final score. Look for Navy to turn the tables with a win and cover on Saturday. Final Score Prediction, Navy Midshipmen win and cover ATS 31-13.
