Navy’s lone highlight over the first 15 minutes was a one-yard touchdown run by Daba Fofana that cut SMU’s lead to 28-7. QB Braxton Woodson added 104 rushing yards and a score for the Midshipmen, who were outgained by a 487-253 margin.
