Arizona State Sun Devils - 2021 College Football Season Preview & Win Total Predictions

Arizona State had a very short season last year that amounted to a total of 4 games. The Sun Devils last year finished at a 2-2 mark, but are bringing back 15 starters from the team last season. Not to mention Arizona State has Herm Edwards in the coaching position in his fourth year and he is one coach that has ended up over the five hundred mark for Arizona State.

The offense for the Sun Devils will all hinge on the play of Jayden Daniels. Daniels is a good quarterback and last year suffered from a lack of good targets. This year it will be a lot of the same as the receivers for the Sun Devils are younger and unproven. Thankfully if the passing game sputters the rushing attack has Rachaad White who cane carry the ball with over 10 yards per carry, but only carried the ball 42 times last year.

Defensively the Sun Devils are good at keeping the opponents from scoring, but the Sun Devils in the PAC-12 were downright horrible at preventing the opponents from moving the ball. That will definitely make it difficult to see the Sun Devils defense showing much in the way of improvement at all on the year. One good aspect that could help the Sun Devils out is the fact that the front is now a 4-3 and going into the second year of a 4-3 alignment which allows the stars more time to adjust to their new position.

The punting for the Sun Devils is set and has Michael Turk coming back. Turk is capable of kicking the ball nicely and providing the game changing field position. The field goal kicking is questionable for the Arizona State team with a freshman kicker coming in.
