The Wildcats are coming back to play this year and will be hoping the odd year of 2020 will bring about good luck for Arizona. The Wildcats are sitting on a record last year that was 4-8 and in the PAC 12 the Wildcats were dismal at 2-7. From the offense last year the Wildcats bring back 5 starters and 7 starters from the defensive side of the ball.

Grant Gunnell is the quarterback who is projected to start this year as a sophomore. Last year he threw for 1239 yards with 9 touchdowns and a pick. Gary Brightwell is projected to come back to lead the Arizona offense in the rushing attack. Last season he carried the ball 66 times for 390 yards and 5 touchdowns.

Utah could come back this year with the chance to rebuild, but not have a lot of issues in the rebuild. Yes, they will most likely be starting a quarterback who has yet to throw his first college pass, but the Utes do have a lot of starters coming back with 7 on the offensive side of the ball, but only 2 on the defense. The Utes last year finished at an 11-3 mark overall, but 8-1 in the PAC12.

Jake Bentley is projected to start the game for the Utes. However, that could be questionable as Drew Lisk did get some limited game action last year for the Utes. Devin Brumfield is projected to start at running back for Utah. Last year Devin ran for 263 yards on 59 carries for 2 touchdowns.

Utah should feel fortunate that they are opening the season against a very weak Arizona team. That will give the Utes defense time to settle in and get used to playing together as a team. Not to mention, the weaker opponent gives the Utes time to get settled in with a quarterback and running back combination to get the better game going. Final Score Prediction, Utah Utes win but fall short ATS 30-17.
