The Utah Utes come into this week with six wins through eight games played riding a two game win streak following a narrow 4 point win against Washington state. Defensively Utah controlled the game holding Washington state to only 17 points on 264 yards after forcing 2 turnovers and allowing only a 30% third down conversion rate.

The Utah offense controlled the game with 344 total yards of offense including 175 through the air to score 21 points in the game. Bryson Barnes got the start for Utah after quarterback Cam Rising was benched before kickoff. Barnes played well completing 17 of 27 passes for 175 yards and one score and ran the ball eight times for 51 yards as well. Jaylon Glover led all ball carriers in the game with 76 yards and one score on 20 carries, wild Dalton Kincaid added 56 yards and one touchdown on 7 receptions.
