Alabama Crimson Tide - 2021 NCAA Football Season Preview & Win Total Predictions

The Alabama Crimson Tide continues to be the gold standard in college football and will attempt to repeat as National Champions for the first time in a decade. Head coach Nick Saban has plenty of holes to fill on an offense that averaged 542 yards and 49 points per game a season ago. Sophomore Bryce Young was the top dual-threat QB coming out of high school and will replace Mac Jones. 

The Crimson Tide will rely heavily on a talented offensive line, while breaking in new skill position players. WR John Metchie caught 55 passes for 916 yards last year and will be the top option in the passing game. RB Brian Robinson will do the heavy sledding for Alabama on the ground.

With Alabama potentially losing some explosiveness on the offensive side of the ball, the defense will be counted on. The Crimson Tide have been exposed at times on defense, but still finished by allowing 352 yards and 19 points per game. Linebackers Christopher Allen and Will Anderson Jr. wreak havoc in the opponent’s backfield and will anchor the defensive.

The secondary is extremely talented and returns Freshman All-American CB Malachi Moore (3 INT). Safety Jordan Battle is underrated and finished third on the team with 55 tackles.
