Air Force at Utah State 12/3/20 - College Football Picks & Predictions

The Air Force Falcons are set to visit Maverik Stadium in Logan, Utah for a Mountain West Conference clash against the Utah State Aggies. The Air Force Falcons come into this matchup with a 2-2 record, and they will be looking to continue their success after winning their recent home game against the New Mexico Aggies, 28-0. QB Haaziq Daniels wasn’t asked to do much through the air as he threw for 66 yards, but he did add 55 rushing yards and a TD. RB Brad Roberts had a big game on the ground for the Falcons as he ran for 177 yards and 3 TDs on 28 carries.

The Air Force Falcons were very good on the defensive side of the ball against the New Mexico Aggies as they held them scoreless and to a total of 304 yards of offense. LB Jonathan Youngblood led the way for the Air Force defense with 8 tackles and 1 TFL. The secondary had a productive outing for the Falcons as DB Corvan Taylor hauled in the lone interception of the game while CB Elisha Palm had 6 tackles.

The Utah State Aggies come into this matchup with a 1-4 record, and they will be looking to continue their success after winning their recent home game against the New Mexico Aggies, 41-27. QB Andrew Peasley had a big game for the Aggies as he threw for 239 yards and 3 TDs while also adding 118 rushing yards and a TD. WR Justin McGriff was the top target for Peasley and Utah State as he hauled in 4 catches for 99 yards and a TD.

The Utah State Aggies were solid on the defensive side of the ball against the New Mexico Aggies as they held them to 27 points and a total of 348 yards of offense. DB Shaq Bond led the way for the Utah State defense with 10 tackles and 2 TFLs. The Aggies were able to get into the New Mexico backfield a handful of times as LB Nick Heninger had 3 TFLs and 2 sacks while LB AJ Vongphachanh had 1 TFL and 1 sack.

The Utah State Aggies were able to earn their 1st win of the season over another winless team in the New Mexico Lobos, but they will have a very tough task here with the Air Force Falcons. The Falcons are coming off a cancelation, but they were able to beat the same New Mexico team in the previous week by 28 points which makes this pick more confident for me. The Falcons have an effective triple-option running attack as 6 different guys have eclipsed 100 yards on the season, and they should have no problem moving the chains on the Aggies. Utah State was impressed with the production from QB Andrew Peasley as he did it all in his 1ststart, but the Air Force defense is significantly better, and should make life difficult. Final Score Prediction, Air Force Falcons win and cover ATS 28-13.
