Aloha Stadium will host the final game of week eight, when the Air Force Falcons battle the Hawai’i Rainbow Warriors. The Falcons have won four of their first six games and rank second in the nation in rushing at just under 300 yards per game. On Saturday, Air Force scored the final 21 points of the game to earn a 43-24 home victory versus Fresno State.
Air Force QB Donald Hamilton III rushed for two touchdowns and added another one through the air. Timothy Jackson rushed for a team high 117 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries.
The Hawai’i Rainbow Warriors feature one of the most explosive passing attacks in the country and have four victories on the season. On Saturday, Hawai’i’s defense was overmatched during a 59-37 road loss against Boise State. The Rainbow Warriors turned the ball over four times and allowed the Broncos to gain 518 total yards.
Hawai’i QB Cole McDonald threw for three touchdowns and added a team high 54 yards rushing. Melquise Stovall caught eight passes for 114 yards and two touchdowns in a losing effort for the Rainbow Warriors.
