2020 Pac 12 Football Preview - Odds, Picks, & Betting Predictions

Although the 2020 college football regular season has over three and a half months remaining before its opening kickoff, oddsmakers continue to update their futures board for the different conferences across the country. The Pac-12 is no exception as oddsmakers have recently updated what team they believe will win the prestigious conference title in December.

The Oregon Ducks (+225) are favored to win the 2020 Pac-12 football title and with good reason. Although the Ducks will have a new quarterback under center and will be breaking in four new offensive lineman, they had the best recruiting class in the conference and several talented freshmen will make big impacts for Oregon. Offensive left tackle Penei Sewell is considered by many to be the best in the nation.

Oregon is known for its wide open, high scoring offense, but the defense will have six players returning from the secondary and one of college football's best edge defenders Kayvon Thibodeaux returns as well. Five-star freshmen linebackers Noah Sewell and Justin Flowe will make big impacts from the start for the Oregon defense.

The USC Trojans (+275) have the second best odds to win the Pac-12 football title and are led by quarterback Kedon Slovis who is at the current time just a dark horse candidate for the Heisman Trophy but a big talent nonetheless. Many football pundits consider the wide receiver corps for the Trojans to be the best in the nation with Tyler Vaughns, Kyle Ford, Drake London, Amon-Ra St. Brown and Bru McCoy. On defense, freshman Jay Tufele is expected to make an immediate impact on the interior and Chris Steele could be the conference's best cornerback as a sophomore.

Just behind the Trojans on the odds board for the Pac-12 title are the Washington Huskies (+300). The Huskies will have a new quarterback and a new head coach which means Washington will rely first and foremost on its excellent defense led by Elijah Molden, Cameron Williams, Keith Taylor Trent McDuffie, and Asa Turner.  Washington has two of the best Edge defenders in the nation in Joe Tryon and Ryan Bowman and the pair along with the other previously named defensive stars make the unit one of the best in the nation.

The Utah Utes (+450) have the fourth best odds in the Pac-12. However, Utah will have to replace quarterback Tyler Huntley and running back Zack Moss along with several players on the defense.  The starting quarterback has not been named as of yet but either former South Carolina signal-caller Jake Bentley or Texas transfer Cameron Rising is expected to start under center. The defense must fill huge holes at linebacker and in the secondary due to losses via the NFL draft or graduation.

The Oregon Ducks have perennially been one of the top teams not only in the North Division of the Pac-12 but in the Pac-12 overall. This season will be no exception as the offense will improve each week and the defense will make the big plays to help win games and lead the Ducks to the Pac-12 title game, where Oregon will meet the USC Trojans after USC disposes of its rivals in the South Division. In the end, Oregon will walk away with the Pac-12 title by defeating USC.
