2020 Big Ten Football Preview - College Football Picks & Predictions

The Big Ten is one conference that showed up very good last year, but with a lot of the teams losing a ton of their seniors it could be difficult for the Big Ten to repeat the same level of competitive nature that it had in 2019. The Wolverines were one team that looked decent at times last year, but could not really put anything together long enough for them to be seen as a serious threat on the year even after being ranked as one of the best teams in the NCAA last year.

The Hawkeyes and the Badgers are a couple of teams that were fairly impressive last season as well. However, both of the teams ended up having some issues in getting the wins locked down in the big games and with the loss of some of the seniors who were in place it may end up being nearly impossible for these two teams to be competitive on the year.

Now, one team that looked impressive last year and could be a surprise in the Big Ten this season is actually Northwestern. Yes, the Wildcats may not be the major power that the team has been in the past when it was a direct rival to Ohio State, but the Wildcats have ended up improving quite a bit and are starting to look quite  bit better than what they have in the past.

Michigan State could be a threat as well. While the Wolverines are the typical team that is talked about coming out of Michigan, they are not the only threat. Now, the Spartans have started to look impressive and definitely is one team that could really challenge as the Spartans have had some down years, but are definitely bouncing back.
