The Wisconsin Badgers visit State Farm Center in Champaign, Illinois on Wednesday to play the Illinois Fighting Illini in a Big Ten tilt. Wisconsin improved to 12-6 with its 64-54 upset win over previously unbeaten Michigan on Saturday. The Badgers were led by Ethan Happ with 26 points and 10 rebounds. The Badgers moved to 4-3 in Big Ten play.
Illinois fell to 5-13 on the season following a 95-71 loss to Iowa. The Fighting Illini were down 39-24 at the half and did not threaten during the second half in the 24-point loss. Ayo Dosunmu led the Illini in the loss with 15 points.
Ethan Happ leads Wisconsin in scoring, rebounding and assists with averages of 19.8 points, 10.3 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game. Two other players are averaging double figures in scoring for the Badgers. Wisconsin is shooting 49.0% from the field and 39.5% from 3-point territory.
Trent Frazier leads Illinois in scoring with an average of 14.6 points per game. Giorgi Bezhanishvili leads the team in rebounds with an average of 5.1 per game. The leader in assists is Frazier with an average of 2.9 per game. Illinois is shooting 43.6% from the field and 35.2% from 3-point territory.
