The Georgia State Panthers have ruled the Sun Belt Conference in recent years, and are the preseason pick to win it again this year. The Panthers are off to a 2-1 start and take on 0-3 William and Mary in the Legends Classic Tournament on Saturday.

Georgia State was 16-6 last year and has all five starters returning, as well as some key reserves. The Panthers are looking to take up where they left off and get to the big dance this year. All five starters averaged double figures last year, and the team was among the highest-scoring teams in the land at 81 points per game.

Justin Roberts leads Georgia State with 19 points per game, shooting 48 percent from behind the arc, and 61 percent overall. Two more are in double figures. Georgia State is shooting 39 percent from three-point land and 48 percent overall, but they are making just 68 percent of their foul shots. Georgia State is also a good defensive team, with 36 steals in three games.

William and Mary's closest game thus far was a 12-point loss, and the Tribe has struggled to a 0-3 record so far. Ben Wight leads the team with 14.3 points and six rebounds per game. Wight is shooting nearly 60 percent from the field, but it falls off fast from there. No one else is in double figures. The team had 54 turnovers in three games. The Tribe is shooting 30 percent from behind the arc and 39 percent overall.

The Tribe have not looked good at all on the year and the closest lost margin has been by 12 points. Throw in the offense for the William & Mary club is getting only 65 points per game, but the defense is giving up over 80 points a game, which is the exact opposite for the Georgia State team and it is easy to see Georgia State blow this game out. Final Score Prediction, Georgia State Panthers win 87-62.
