The Harrah’s Cherokee Center will play host to a Southern Conference play-in game between the Western Carolina Catamounts and the Citadel Bulldogs. The ninth-seeded Catamounts (11-15) lost 13 of their 17 conference games and are allowing 78 points per contest. On Saturday, Western Carolina shot 60 percent from the field during an 85-61 home victory versus Mercer.

Western Carolina F Cory Hightower matched a game-high with 16 points on 6-for-14 shooting and dished out seven assists. Xavier Cork contributed 14 points and ten rebounds for the Catamounts.

The Citadel Bulldogs finished in eighth place in the Southern Conference standings with a 5-11 record and rank 30th nationally in scoring (80.3 ppg). Last time out, the Citadel was outscored by ten points during the second half of a 72-63 road loss against Furman. The Bulldogs (12-11) were outrebounded by a 37-30 margin and shot just 41 percent from the field.

Hayden Brown led the Citadel with 18 points on 7-for-15 shooting and pulled down eight rebounds. Kaiden Ride added 14 points and five rebounds in a losing effort for the Bulldogs.
