The West Virginia Mountaineers remain in the Bahamas Friday afternoon for a third place matchup in the battle for Atlantis. West Virginia comes into Friday with four wins and two losses overall following their loss Thursday. The Mountaineers offense has carried the team this season averaging 79.2 points on 44.6% shooting from the floor. West Virginia shot the ball well on Thursday making 44.1% of their shots and knocked down 9 triples. The Mountaineers, however, scored just 70 points after only eight in the overtime. West Virginia also lost the rebounding battle by 7 and turned the ball over 16 times in the game. Javon Small carried the load for the West Virginia offense in their last outing with 26 points on 19 shots in 43 minutes. Amani Hansberry was second on the team with 19 points on 11 shots, while Toby Okani added 12 points on nine shots and 36 minutes.

The Arizona Wildcats limp into Friday with three wins and three losses on the year following their debacle on Thursday. Offensively the Wildcats have been top tier this season averaging 88.4 points per game on 46.9% shooting. Defensively Arizona has been even better holding opponents to 70.2 points per game overall but gave up 82 in their loss to Oklahoma on Thursday.

The Arizona offense was phenomenal against Oklahoma making 43 homes to their shots and knocked down 5 triples to score 77 points. The Wildcats lost the rebounding battle, however, and turned the ball over 10 times in the game. Caleb Love led the way for Arizona with 17 points on 18 shots and 36 minutes. Jaden Bradley was second on the team with 16 points, while Trey Townsend chipped in 10 points in 33 minutes.  Motiejus Krivas came up big for the Arizona reserves with 14 points on seven shots and 21 minutes off the bench.

Both teams have been up and down thus far this season, but Arizona is the better team in this matchup. Look for the Wildcats to continue to right some of their wrongs Friday in the Bahamas against West Virginia. Take Arizona to do enough to get the win and cover to end their trip positively.
