The Wake Forest Demon Deacons visit Reed Arena in College Station, Texas on Wednesday to play the Texas A&M Aggies in the quarterfinals of the NIT. Wake Forest defeated VCU 80-74 in the second round of the NIT on Saturday. Alondes Williams was the leading scorer for Wake Forest with 19 points. The Demon Deacons shot only 43.1% but held VCU to 40.4% shooting. Wake Forest opened its play in the NIT with a 74-64 victory over Towson.

Quenton Jackson was the leading scorer in the Aggies victory over the Ducks with 17 points. Texas A&M shot 47.5% overall and held Oregon to 36.8% shooting. The Aggies outrebounded the Ducks 38-34. Texas A&M has won nine of its last 10.
